Mordhau, the medieval multiplayer slasher released on April 29th, leaped into the top 10 of Steam’s most popular games list just a few days after release. Despite some initial overcrowding of the available servers, the pace of independent servers and additional Official servers for Frontline, Battle Royale and Horde modes seems to have been able to make up the pace and reduce wait times for matchmaking. Server operators have been tweaking their systems for performance and most servers seem to have settled into a 48 player match for Frontline games. Developer Triternion has been working overtime to release fixes and improve multiplayer performance.
Server setup howtos have been scarce but with a few minutes of effort you can get off the ground with your own dedicated server.
